| PALISADE PALMS UNDER CONTSTRUCTION - JUNE 2007 |
The construction of the twin tower, 27-story, 288 unit condominium began in Spring 2005 after expanding its original design of one 27 story tower and one 22 story tower. This project covers approximately 18 acres between The Galvestonian and Island East Condominiums. Residents will begin occupying the condo as early as Fall 2007. A Waldrep Company, Inc. has supplied a Canariis model #QM-783-178 Quadraplex Domestic Booster System capable of 783 GPM at 411 T.D.H. This system consists of four (4) Grundfos multi-stage pumps constructed with open drip proof (indoor) enclosure. One pump has a 15 horsepower motor and the other three pumps are equal to one another using a 40 horsepower motor. The unit is 98” long X 68” wide X 67” tall with a total weight of 3,000 lbs. The control panel is of standard construction using a Nema 1 enclosure with low suction pressure shutdown, low system pressure circuit to start standby pumps, auto alternate for three (3) equal pumps, 7 day time clock for continuous operation, individual pump temperature probes and purge valves and a flow switch. There is a remotely mounted Taco model #CA800, 211 gallon full acceptance bladder style hydro-pneumatic tank constructed of fabricated steel and ASME rated for 125 psig.

Established in 1947 to serve the Fort Bend County area, the Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital started its growth in 1969 when it added a coronary unit, chapel, lab and x-ray units. All but one wing was demolished in 1986 to make room for the modern-day six story facility. This building is an 185 bed facility with on-site professional office building. This medical center has become the largest healthcare facility in Fort Bend County with the only Level III Trauma Center, Pediatric Unit and Histology lab. During its recent growth, the center has renovated around 80% of the central plant equipment installed in the 1986 addition.
A Waldrep Company, Inc. is proud to be a part of this renovation due to the opportunity to provide a variety of our products with several different manufacturers. One of the most exciting pieces of equipment is the Taco #4900 Air/ Dirt Separator due to its patented PALL ring technology. The rings allow bubbles to be removed through a process called coalescence and dirt particles are caught and sifted to the bottom as the water flows through the tank. The dirt particles are then removed through a blowdown valve. This technology prevents damage to pumps by removing “junk” in the system and gives the opportunity to implement smaller pumps due the reduced pressure drops. By utilizing this separator in the renovation of the center, the contractor, Lange Mechanical, was able to remove old grime from the hot water line before installation of other new components.

Canariis Corporation offers a Triplex Domestic Booster System model #TE-620-42 that has a capacity of 620 GPM at 72 psig with 37 PSI differential pressure. It uses three Taco close coupled pumps; one operating with a 5 HP motor and two with a 10 HP, and all with TEFC enclosure. The Canariis model #FXA800 tank holds 211 gallons and is ASME rated for 125#, making the entire unit 60” long X 42” wide X 67” high and a total weight of 1,200 lbs.

WHAT'S NEW WITH OUR MANUFACTURERS ?

| HIGH EFF. BOILERS |
New High Efficiency Boilers From Bryan SteamBryan Steam has introduced the HE-AB Series of forced draft gas fired "Flexible Water Tube" Water Boilers with a guaranteed efficiency of 85%. The high combustion efficiency results from a uniquely designed integrated extended surface heat extractor. Along with other design characteristics these boilers feature 7 sq. ft. of heating surface per boiler horsepower. They operate at normal operating temperatures, without need to provide for the expense or complications of special venting and/or condensing material.Bryan's HE-AB Series is available in six models with inputs from 900 MBH to 3,000 MBH. The Bryan “Flexible Water Tube” provides for extremely fast internal circulation for maximum heat transfer and operating efficiency. The flexibility of the bent water tube design eliminates all possible damage from "Thermal Shock" and from stresses caused by poor or unequal internal circulation. This is particularly important with forced hot water heating systems designed for higher temperatures and greater temperature drops.

| ZERO CLEAR GREASE DUCT |
Metalbestos ZeroClear Grease Duct
ZeroClear is the most innovative factory-built kitchen grease duct in the industry. Available in both stainless steel and aluminized steel exteriors, ZeroClear can be customized to your unique application requirements. ZeroClear is the clear choice for new restaurant construction or retrofitting future expansions or modifications.
Energy efficiency and overall performance are greatly improved with round grease duct designs due to less flow resistance. In addition, round systems are much easier to clean and reduce the opportunity for grease accumulation in the corners, like rectangular systems, increasing the risk of fire. Almost no slope is required on horizontal runs of ZeroClear. Carbon steel duct systems require a ¼” drop per 1 foot of ducting for proper contaminant drainage. The Selkirk engineering staff provides design services for special product applications and for installations requiring complex routing or unusual manifold systems.
